MARRANO ENLISTS IN COUNTY CLERK’S “THANK A VET” PROGRAM

MARRANO ENLISTS IN COUNTY CLERK’S “THANK A VET” PROGRAM

Honorably discharged military veterans living in Erie County are now eligible for new discounts offered by Marrano/Marc Equity, Inc., Western New York’s largest builder of new homes.  Marrano has joined the “THANK A VET” Discount Program, an initiative of Erie County Clerk Chris Jacobs.
“The program is a way for our county to recognize the service and sacrifices made by our local veterans,” Jacobs said.  “I am pleased that Marrano Homes has joined the ranks of businesses in Erie County who are offering discounts and other value-added services to veterans who are in the program.”
Eligible veterans may apply through the County Clerk’s office for a photo I.D. card, which identifies them as an honorably discharged veteran.  Participating businesses and merchants have agreed to honor the card by providing veterans with discounts on purchases or services.
Several options will be available to veterans who purchase a Marrano Home according to John Manns, vice president of sales and marketing for the new homebuilder.  “It is an honor for Marrano Homes to take part in the ‘THANK A VET’ program,” Manns said.

Veterans can then choose between a free appliance package, including a Whirlpool microwave, range and refrigerator, or a discount on the installation of universal design features.  Universal floor plan features include no-step entry, one-story living, wider doorways and hallways, extra floor space, blocking in bathroom walls allowing for easy installation of handrails and lever door handles.  Some restrictions may apply.  Details are available from Marrano New Home Sales Representatives.

"We will offer vets free universal design consulting services with a Marrano design expert to redesign one of our floor plans to meet the needs of a disabled veteran,” Manns said.

“The men and women in uniform who have selflessly served this great nation have made tremendous sacrifices to preserve the American way of life” Manns said.  “This is a wonderful program that allows us, in a small way, to honor their service.”
Participating businesses can display the “THANK A VET” logo on their websites and post a decal in their place of business, demonstrating their support of Erie County veterans.

“Involvement in the program is beneficial to businesses,” Jacobs said, “and they will undoubtedly realize an increase in traffic and sales.”
